Prepared 18 September 2026 · Educational information, not an individual diagnosis.

Describe the effect on daily life
Describe affected activities, when symptoms occur and any assessment you have already had. You do not need to diagnose yourself: concrete examples make the discussion more useful than a broad promise of “better health”.
Read results in context
A finding for one condition does not establish the same benefit for another. Look at the participants, comparison group and size of the change. NCCIH discusses the evidence by condition rather than making one claim for every use.
Agree when to review
Ask when progress will be reviewed and what happens if there is no meaningful change. Clarify the cost per visit and any extras. A clear plan does not require purchasing many sessions at once.
Read the source in context
Sources help explain the context and limits of the information; they do not endorse the centre.
